Appearance

Cammie is petite but strong. She has deep brown hair that falls in loose waves and usually pulled back into a ponytail or rough bun. Her blue eyes are a standard pale shade, and a few faded freckles are visible on her nose. She normally wears jeans, a long-sleeved shirt or sweatshirt, and a faded denim jacket. Cammie could be described as your typical, pretty farm girl, fair but a little rough around the edges.

Personality

Cammie is a woman who can get down to business. She's used to working in stressful situations, and most things don't phase her much, so long as they are logical and follow the laws of physics. Cammie can always be counted on in a tough situation, which is why any team would love to have her, but individually she can be difficult to deal with, so she doesn't tend to make friends easily, especially with those who consider themselves higher up in the chain of command. She likes to take charge and often has trouble following orders if she doesn't agree with them. She loves anything new and exciting, and she likes to think of herself as a heroic person. She was raised in a Christian family with strong values and morals, and that comes out in the way she acts. She isn't prejudiced, although if she doesn't agree with something, she tends to just not talk about it. Her two golden rules are, "Treat others as you would like to be treated," and "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." She probably would have fit right in as a law enforcement official, but her love of danger and storms led her on a different life path. She has awe and respect for nature, and she tends to admire the sheer power it embodies rather than get lost in the details.

History

Cammie grew up in a stable, two-parent family with Christian roots and a military history. Although her father was an active Marine, she didn't have to move around much, and most of her life was spent in Maryland. In high school, she was smart and athletic, never part of the "A-crowd", but not a victim of teenage abuse either. She played volleyball and field hockey. After graduating high school, she attended the University of Maryland, following her fascination with natural disasters and weather. After graduating with her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Meteorology, she knocked around stormchasing for a year, where she first met George and his gang. She was forced to find a job with a more steady income; therefore, she worked for the Federal Emergency Management Agency for three years. After her run-in with a wayward tornado, the Temple of Dea, and Mercury, however, she quit her job at F.E.M.A. and teamed up with George and the stormchasers again for one last mission.

Bondmate Relationship

Cammie never believed in dragons before, but after she somehow brought a real Clarus Dragon egg back from a world that seemed to be part of her unconscious mind, she was forced to reevaluate her hold on reality. Needless to say, she was somewhat afraid of Mercury for a while, but luckily, she also recognized his value and took care of him. Since his hatching, there have been a few rough spots, but she views him as her responsibility and she would do anything to protect him and keep him safe from those who might want to experiment on him, including leaving her own world behind so Mercury can have a life free from fear on his own world.
