Dracstan says very little, but he is ever watchful and observant. He is excellent at gleaning information from people, either through simple observation or through his telepathic abilities, and he often uses this information to his own benefit. He is suspicious of strangers, especially humans and elves. His exact magical powers have not yet been revealed, but he has a tough mind and spirit that will surely help him toward success. This young dragon has a manipulative streak, and what he seeks, most of all, is power. As one who has grown up with distrust and suspicion as his guide, he wants most to ensure that no one can hurt him or those he cares for.

Dracstan's egg came to Bishen Realm through a magical portal. He was sent to Bishen Realm by his Clan, ostensibly to be adopted. Everyone but Dracstan himself was unaware that his Clan actually sent him to spy for them. Like many Bishel Dragons, they still do not trust humans and elves, and the feared that humans had enslaved the Machesri. The egg itself was quite different from anything the Machesri had seen, and the wyrm that hatched from it soon after its arrival proved to be quite a handful.

Dracstan was considered rather difficult when he was a wyrm. He spoke very little, especially to humans. He was convinced that humans were evil, and he found much proof for his theory; however, he also found many humans who were good and kind. He eventually grew to accept humans, but he remains wary of strangers, and it takes effort to win his friendship.

Dracstan grew into a stout and muscular shrape. He quickly discovered how to use his four new hooves as effective weapons, and the power of four legs behind his larger horns was something to consider dangerous. The shrape quickly adjusted to his new form, and he became surefooted and fast. He possessed extreme physical strength, and although smaller than many Machesri, he easily outweighed them. Many decided to simply keep out of his way once he became a shrape.
